Adamawa CP Visits Fintiri, Vows Tougher Fight against Crime

Newly deployed Commissioner of Police Adamawa State Command, Kabir Umar Hassan, has paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The CP who was accompanied by the members of his management team, vowed to ensure tougher fight against crime. Strengthening SRHR Governance, Accountability in Adamawa: ACF Launches AmplifyChange-Funded Initiative

  Alimat Care Foundation (ACF) has officially commenced implementation of its AmplifyChange-funded project, “Breaking Barriers: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for Women and Girls through Policy Reform and Cultural Transformation,” marking a significant milestone in efforts to improve SRHR outcomes in Adamawa State. The project targets four Local Government Areas—Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, and Michika where structural, cultural, and systemic barriers continue to limit access to SRHR information, services, and protection mechanisms for women and girls. Despite the existence of progressive legal frameworks such as the VAPP Law, implementation gaps remain a major challenge. Limited awareness, weak accountability systems, and entrenched socio-cultural norms have hindered effective service delivery and protection for vulnerable populations.
