4 ADAMAWA VIGILANTES DOCKED FOR DIVERTING STOLEN ITEMS
Newly established Upper Area Court 4 in Adamawa state has remanded 4 local vigilantes over allegations of diverting stolen items recovered from a suspected armed robber. Honourable Musa Ibrahim Ulenda, the pioner judge of the Upper Area Court ordered for the remand of the local vigilantes after they pleaded guilty to the alleged offences of criminal conspiracy and theft. The judge later adjourned the matter until November 15th, 2021, following an application by the prosecutor, Seargent Kabiru Abubakar, The affected local vigilantes are Naziru Usman, 25, Iliyasu Mustapha, 20, Ibrahim Ahmed, 30, and Yahuza Yakubu, 26. The alleged offences according to Seargent Kabiru, contravened sections 60 and 276 of the state penal code law.
