FINTIRI, IYA ABBAS, OTHERS COMMISSION CONST PROJECTS...LAUD HON. BATHIYA


 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has commissioned constituency projects executed by the Member representing Hong constituency at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Bathiya Wesley.


Some of the projects initiated and executed by the Honourable Member in support of CSDA include; standard maternity at Fadama Rake, 50 capacity of examination hall at GDSS Fadama Rake, solar powered boreholes at Kala'a and Unguwan Jauro Sale in Hong.


Speaking while performing the commissioning ceremony at Fadama Rake on Tuesday, Governor Fintiri commended the member for delivering on his campaign promises, and urged on Hong electorate to continue to support him so as to enable him deliver more on his mandate.


Governor Fintiri who was represented at the event by the Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy, Dr. Umar Garba Pella, said that the representation of Hon. Bathiya is commendable, and urged him to continue to reach out to his people with such developmental projects.


He assured the gathering that the present administration is determined to providing dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots, and called for support and cooperation.


In his remarks, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, said that they had earlier assured their electorate during electioneering campaign that what they will do within 2 years will shake everybody, assuring them that this is just the beginning of good things.


Also speaking, the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Hammatukur Yetisuri (Jada Mbulo) described Hon. Bathiya as one of the legislators who has the love of his people at heart, saying that Hong electorate have elected a credible leader and however gave kudos to Hon. Bathiya.


Baring his mind while giving the account of his stewardship since assumption of office in 2019, Hon. Bathiya Wesley told them that he has been able to sponsor 2 bills, co-sponsored 12 bills, sponsored 5 motions and contributed positively during debates for good governance in the state.


Hon. Bathiya stated that though his major function as legislator is to enact laws for governance but was able to complement the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the area of education and infrastructural development, health sector, water supply, agriculture, social interventions and several other critical sectors.


In their separate goodwill messages, the Provost College of Education (COE) Hong, Professor Johnson Haniel Pongri, and former Vice Chancellor Adamawa state University (ADSU), Mubi, Professor David Joshua Shall passed a vote of confidence on the legislator.


The duo further commended the community for identifying and electing Bathiya who is committed to the development of his constituency, saying the electorate in Hong did not make mistake in voting for him.


According to them, the stakeholders in Hong are proud of him, and that they are solidly behind him to see to his success, and appealed to the entire electorate to support and encourage him.

 

In his welcome address, the Chairman Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Hong LGA, Hon. Usman Inuwa Waganda, appreciated the gathering for their support to the legislator.


Hon. Waganda told the gathering that the electorate in Hong have voted for credible leaders who have the love of their people at heart, saying that the member has done what is expected of him as a grassroots politician.


According to him, the electorate in Hong LGA have tasted the leadership style of Hon. Bathiya, and that they are determined to support him to continue to move forward politically.


Several representative of benefiting communities applauded the Member and pledged their unflinching support in order to enable him succeed.


Meanwhile, necessary arrangements have been concluded for the distribution of empowerment items to electorate in Hong on Wednesday by the Member.
