Hon. Hafiz, declared his intention to contest under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) so as to represent the 3 Local Government Areas.

He declared his intention to join the race on his personal social media handle (Facebook), where he stated that his decision to contest for the seat followed a wide consultations and calls from various political pressure groups.

According to him, his unwavering passion for positive change over the years has blossomed into strong advocacy for youth involvement in the act of governance, saying it is a strong derive for sustainable growth and development in country.

He said that he has been looking at the pathetic situation in which youths found themselves today, saying that there is no better time than now for them to involve actively in politics so as to contribute in restoring stability and prosperity in the country.

He added that after several attempts at engaging past governments to embrace the idea, it became apparent to him that the only solution is to fully participate in politics so as to actually bring the yearnings of the younger generation to the forefront.

The aspirant said In the past few weeks, himself and his team visited the 3 LGAs which he intend to represent and unearthed so many issues that have been lingering for many decades with no practical solutions, ranging from the dilapidated federal and rural road networks to serious security challenges.

Hon. Hafiz also explained that the government at the center will never come down to these areas to identify what the core issues are; it is the representatives that actually identify and present such issues and requests to the federal government for onward action.

"I would like to start with the legislative arm of government. This is because it specifically deals with making laws, amending where necessary, and oversighting to name a few.

"It will also allow me push for bills that are in tandem with today’s realities, bring to the forefront real issues that demand immediate attention, as well as speak up on behalf of the Nigerian youth against all sorts of injustices and irregularities that are being perpetuated in the system.

"My whole approach is very simple, I call it the “SML Model” which is to identify pressing issues, divide them into short term, medium term and long-term issues.

"Subsequently, prioritize these issues and look for flexible approach to address them. Furthermore the “SML” model will also allow us table our issues in an organized manner as well as enable us have a better understanding on how to approach these issues accordingly." He said.

Hon. Hafiz said if elected to the National Assembly, his activities shall be guided by a timeline on what to implement within the four years that I shall be in office and it will heavily involve the inputs of my team and most importantly his constituents.

"One thing worthy of note is that often times lawmaker’s carryout their respective constituency projects utilizing contractors from Abuja which completely defeats the whole purpose of the zonal intervention policy.

"Therefore, we are going to approach things differently if given the chance. I shall ensure that every project that is meant for my constituency is carried out by contractors from the constituency. By so doing, direct and indirect jobs are being created, hence wealth is being circulated within the constituency.

"That will in turn impact the economy of the area in a positive way. Except in the event that no contractor within the constituency can carry out such projects, then we look for a capable contractor within the state before going out of it. The whole idea is to distribute wealth within our domain.

"As a lawmaker there are so many avenues you can explore and lobby for jobs for the teeming youths in your constituency as part of efforts to minimize unemployment rate. That will be vigorously pursued from day one if given the chance to inject my constituents in the workforce utilizing the leverage at hand. That is seriously lacking in my constituency today." He said.

"I’m confident, I have the capacity and the zeal to deliver on your mandate if given the chance. We cannot risk another four years of idleness, laziness, lack of goodwill, and sheer incompetence at the National Assembly again. We must go in with a plan. I have the plan and ready to execute with you if given the mandate.

"I have presented myself to you my constituents, please give me a chance to serve you better and to bring dividends of democracy that you deserve as citizens of Nigeria to your door steps. He said.
