Senator Ishaku Abbo Quits ADC for Labour Party

Former lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the 9th Assembly, Senator Ishaku Abbo, has resigned his membership of the African Democratic Congress. In a statement issued via his Facebook page on Sunday, Abbo, who leads the SIA Movement, attributed his decision to the leadership crisis within the party at both the national and state levels, saying conflicting court rulings had created uncertainty. He cited a Federal High Court judgment that voided the party’s state congresses, as well as a Supreme Court ruling that returned the leadership dispute to the Federal High Court for determination. Abbo said he has joined the Labour Party, alongside his supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections. Sen Iya Abbas Donates Empowerment Items, Says He is Confident in Governing Adamawa

Adamawa Central Senator, Aminu Iya Abbas, on Saturday distributed assorted empowerment items to his constituents across the district as part of efforts to support livelihoods and boost economic activities. Items distributed at the event included 60 cars, 130 motorcycles, 50 cargo trucks, 25 tricycles (keke), 50 generators, 40 refrigerators, and 90 assorted sewing machines, among others. The beneficiaries mostly youth and women folk cut across Hong, Gombi, Song, Girei, Yola North, Yola South and Fufore LGAs. Bathiya Wesley, has formally obtained his expression of interest and  nomination form to contest for member for the third term under the platform of the All Progressive Congress ,APC.  Supporters of the Speaker from all the six wards of Hong constituency led by the Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government Hon Usman Inuwa Wa'aganda in a grand style moved to the state Secretariat of the Party to pick the form on his behalf.  Rt.
