BETWEEN BINDOW, ATIKU, FINTIRI, APC AND 2023 POLLS- George Kushi

Atiku, Fintiri and Bindow

Following the recent leak of audio recording purportedly capturing a session with the former Governor of Adamawa State, Bindow Umaru Jibrilla addressing a body of former Development Area administrators that went viral attempting to lampoon him have been making the rounds. As is to be expected different approaches to a seemingly normal political decision by an individual is being drummed out of proportion by some opposition members that want to portray the ex-governor in bad light.

For the avoidance of all doubts,Bindow, just like all Nigerian has a right to hold a personal opinion. As a citizen ,not just an ordinary citizen but a one-time governor and senator of the Federal Republic,he has a right to speak out as one who knows the intricacies of Nigerian politics in general and what obtains in Adamawa State in details. He therefore knows the cankerworm that has eaten the APC ,laying it prostrate.

It is therefore strange that some members of the party are trying to demonize  him for what was said in the audio recording in question. Even if somebody secretly recorded the session, his clandestine move is to no effect as it is evident that Bindow never meant  to make the meeting a secret.

The presence of  prominent politicians in the meeting (Kaura inclusive)  testifies to that. So, what's the problem? Mischief, simple mischief,a common practice by greedy snitches of which the Adamawa landscape is full of.

Going to the core of the matter one is amazed that a man of Bindow's stature and character will fail to identify with Waziri Adamawa,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in his quest for the seat of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. For one ,as an indigene of Adamawa and the North-east that is yet to produce one.

Bindow is therefore right to mobilize and  garner support for Atiku Abubakar and Ahmadu Umaru   Fintiri whom he has many times openly praised for embarking on purposeful governance.

It should be noted that Bindow owes no apology to any APC sympathiser after what they did to him. It is still fresh in the minds of many that Bindow was betrayed by co-party members to oust him from the Dougirei Government House. He was still betrayed at the last Governorship primary election,  Why then make a fuss? What is good for the goose is good for gander. Moreso is the fact that the APC is in disarray and about to disappear from the Adamawa political landscape.

Well, for those in the know, Adamawa is good and ripe enough for the presidency and the likes of Bindow are very much welcome to render service to their state and the nation at large.

To this effect, there is nothing secretive in that audio recording. H E Bindow has only stated the obvious and all watcher of the Adamawa political dynamics know that "in kidi ta canza, rawa ma ta canza".  Not minding whose ox is gored, Bindow has the right to associate with Fintiri and Atiku as they coast to victory come 2023.
