GUYUK MEMBER ELECT PROMISES COMMUNITY BASED REPRESENTATION

The Member Elect for Guyuk constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sunday Peter, has promised to provide community based representation for his electorate.

Rt. Hon. Sunday Peter and former Deputy Speaker of the Assembly was re-elected at the just concluded Governorship and House of Assembly elections. He represented the constituency at the Assembly from 2015 to 2019.

The member elect made the promise shortly after receiving certificate of return at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Yola, on Thursday.

He assured his electorate of a community based stewardship during his tenure, and promised not to disappoint them while carrying out his activities of lawmaking at the hallowed chamber.

He further assured that his representation in terms of sponsoring of bills, resolutions and lobbying among others will be based on the yearnings and aspirations of his electorate.

According to him, he is honoured to be accorded another golden opportunity to be the voice of Guyuk electorate, and appreciated them for the mandate given to him.

He explained that his primary concern at the moment is how to build Guyuk constituency and Adamawa State in general since election is over now, saying what is left at the moment is for them to come together for the progress of Guyuk.

He used the opportunity and commended the electorate, his political party(APC), traditional institutions in Guyuk, security and INEC for the peaceful elections.
