ADHA: KALLAMU CELEBRATES FIRST 100 DAYS, REVIEWS FUTURE PLANS

 


The Member representing Mayo Belwa constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu, has marked his first 100 days in office. 


Hon. Kallamu, had while celebrating 100 days in office as lawmaker representing Mayo Belwa, highlighted several achievements so far recorded and outlined his vision for the future of his constituency.





In an exclusive interview with newsmen at his residence in Mayo Belwa LGA, Hon. Kallamu, revealed his plans for the development of his constituency.


It could be recalled that on his assumption of office, the member orgsnised a town hall meeting with his constituents across the political wards where they briefed him on the immediate need of their communities and how  of to address them.


He said that the event was organised to serve as an avenue for direct engagement with his constituents, explaining that it was to foster a deeper understanding of the communities' pressing issues.





During the period under review, Hon. Kallamu, said  appointed over 20 Special Assistants on electronic and new media to keep his constituents abreast with his quality representation.


He said that he had constituted a committee on borehole maintenance and that he was able to repaire over 30 boreholes which assisted significantly in addressing water scarcity and improving the quality of life of many citizens.




Demonstrating his commitment to fighting hunger and poverty, the lawmaker announced that he had distributed over 600 bags of rice to families in need, adding that the gesture has provided needed relief to many struggling households.


On women empowerment, the lawmaker said his wife, Hajiya Sa'adatu Musa Mahmud Kallamu, has played a pivotal role by empowering over 200 women with cash.


Hon. Kallamu also expressed his plans to boost agricultural productivity by providing farming implements to local farmers.


He said this initiative is expected to enhance food security and support the livelihood of those depending on agriculture.


The lawmaker made use of the opportunity and appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering support to the legislature and his significant contributions to the transformation of Adamawa State.


 He also acknowledged the cordial working relationship with his colleagues in the state assembly, which he believes is crucial for the collective progress of the state.
