Two young men who were apprehended by the Adamawa State Police Command in connection to kidnapping and culpable homicide have confessed to the crime. News Platform
The suspects, Husseini Suleiman, 21 and Muktar Mohammed, 20, who hail from Bashin village in Yoro LGA, Taraba State, committed the crime in Ganye LGA, Adamawa State.
Narrating the incident to the Spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the accused confessed having abducted the 6 years old boy, Ebuka Godwin, in order to raise money for food.
The accused who were pursuing their Islamic Education at Shiek Dahiru Ganye "Tsangaya" school in Ganye, narrated that they had decided to kidnap their victim known as Ebuka Godwin in order to collect ransom from parents to buy food.
Husseini said that they cut sticks and made it look like guns which they used and stormed the residence of the father of deceased in early May, 2024 and wisked away their victim.
After kidnapping the boy, the suspects called his father via GSM and demanded N10 million as ransom as well as demanded N152 000 from him as feeding fee which he gave them the fee.
They said after collecting the money for food, they strangulated their victim and bury his dead body in a sand and left and bought new phones with part of the money.
