EID-EL-KABIR: ADHA SPEAKER PREACHES PEACE, UNITY, SACRIFICE

 


The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, has felicitated Muslim Ummah on the occasion of 2024 Eid-el-Kabir.


Rt. Hon. Bathiya, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hyellamada Bernard called on Muslim ummah to emulate the lessons of sacrifice and obedience to Allah as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.


He maintained that obeying Allah's command is what is expected of all Muslims, hence the need for the ummah to always respect and pray for leaders. 


He urged the citizens to use the period in sharing the joy by showing love to each other and unite for peace and unity of our state and the nation at large. 


The Speaker prayed for continued peace and tranquility as no meaningful development can be achieved without peace.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
