Member representing Michika constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada, on Monday distributed no fewer than 7 cars to cross section of his electorate.
Some of the beneficiaries of the #10million worth vehicles include; former Member of the House of Assembly, Hon. Tari Kwada, Chief Imam of Michika Central Mosque, Medical and Health Workers Union, Michika branch, Michika Maternity, former Councillors' Forum, Mr. Clement Hore and Mr. Danbiu Tumba.
Hon. Kwada popularly known as Depolis had about 3 months ago donated vehicles to Michika Divisional Police headquarters, Women Ambassadorial Ministry, Local Hunters, and of recent Bazza Divisional Police headquarters as part of logistics support to tackle insecurity in the LGA.
Aside the vehicles, the Honourable Mlogisticspromised to sink 9 hand pump and solar powered boreholes in some 16 political wards which comprise Michika constituency as from next week.
Furthermore, he promised to complement the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, in the area of education sector by completing the construction of Science Laboratory at Futu Government Day Secondary earlier initiated, as well as complete some renovation at Government Day Secondary Tilli.
Speaking at the event held at Michika on Monday, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada, said that the gesture is in fulfilment of his electioneering campaign promises and appreciated them for their support.
Hon. Kwada, stated that he had promised during his campaign that if voted into office, he will support the executive arm in addressing insecurity, saying upon his assumption of office, he found out that Michika Police were without a vehicle; hence his intervention.
According to him, he decided to provide logistics support to security so as to enable them protect lives and property of his electorate, and also pledged to provide patrol vehicle to Vigilante group in order to support in the maintenance of peace in and around Michika.
He told his constituents that by next weeklies construction companies will start sinking of boreholes at areas where he promised to so do during his campaign, and said that the contractors will liaise with the stakeholders of the benefiting communities before executing the projects.
Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada, called on them to support the government to enable it deliver on its campaign promises, assured them of his readiness to continue to provide them with needed representation.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman Michika LGC, Hon. Michael Shehu, described him as a man of his words, saying he decided to support the member right from the time of campaign, because he found out that the member has certain qualities that distinguish him from other politicians.
Hon. Shehu explained that the member does not fail whenever he promises to do something, saying that he personally loves him because he has done a lot to his people, and that his style of leadership has challenged them as public office holders.
Also speaking, the Leader Michika Legislative Council who was represented by his Deputy, commended the Legislator for delivering on his campaign promises, and pledged to support him whenever he needed their support.
On his part, the Chairman PDP Michika LGA, Hon. Ezekiel Kwaji, said that the Member has done Michika constituency and its people very proud, insisting that the member must be commended because he has been doing what he was voted to do.
Hon. Kwaji assured them that vehicles distributed to the beneficiaries is just the beginning of many good things to come, and appealed to them to support to enable him provide more dividends of democracy.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the former Member of the House, Hon. Tari Kwada, and Chief Imam of Michika Central Mosque, Ahmed Ibrahim, applauded the member, and prayed God to protect, give him more wisdom and reward him in many folds.
