A suit seeking to nullify the election of Capt. Yusuf Buba, Member representing Hong/Gombi at the House of Representatives has been struck out by the Feferal High Court Yola, Adamawa state.
The suit was instituted by Hon. Nuhu Abubakar, an Aspirant for Gombi/Hong constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Nuhu, who scored zero vote during the APC primary election conducted on the 28th May, 2022 dragged Capt. Buba, before the court and urged it to nullify the election.

He averred that Buba was declared winner of the exercise, saying that he filed a petition before the committee constituted by the party, and that his petition was ignored by the committee.
Hon. Nuhu, prayed the court to order the party and INEC to withdraw the certificate issued to Buba and restraint him from parading himself as the candidate for the party.
According to him, the exercise was not held in line with APC's constitution, and described it as unlawful and has no effect whatsoever.
NEWS PLATFORM gathered that while the matter was going on, Hon. Nuhu, stormed the court on the 14th October, 2022 where he filed a notice of discontinuance.
Ruling on the notice, the presiding judge of the court, Hon. Justice S. I. Kogo, adopted it and subsequently struck out the suit.
