MOTHER OF 2 DRAGS FIANCE TO YOLA COURT, ACCUSES HIM OF RAPING HER OVER 10 YRS AGO

A mother of 2 has dragged her fiance before Upper Area Court 4 in Yola, Adamawa State, accusing him of rape, assault and intimidation.

The woman sued her fiance whom they have been living together over a decade where she accused him of rape even after bearing 2 children for him.

In suit marked UAC4/CA/322/2022/ and filed on Friday, the complainant who craved for anonymity, resides with her husband to be along Army Barracks road in Jimeta Yola.

The mother of 2, who fell in love with her fiance over 10 years ago, was allegedly raped when she brought food for him as he had earlier asked her to do.

"After we fell in love, he called me on phone and asked me to cook food and bring it to him because he was battling with sickness. He used the opportunity and raped me", she alleged.

It was learnt that shortly after she brought food to her sick fiance at his apartment over 10 years ago, he allegedly had sexual intercourse with her without consent.

NEWS PLATFORM gathered that she took in after first contact, but when she informed him about the pregnancy, he denied it and said he was not responsible for it.

After her successful delivery, the man eventually admitted that the baby is his own and pleaded with her to forgive him after which they continued living together.

Few years later, she became pregnant for him again and delivered her 2nd baby without formalising their union.

Thereafter, the lady started mounting pressure on him to go to her parents and pay her dowry and fulfill necessary marital rites, but he refused to do so all this while.

Feeling tired and frustrated for lack of his official commitment and care for her and that of the children, the woman sued him on 3 counts which he vehemently denied it.

Aside rape, assault and intimidation, the man was alleged to have remained nonchalant towards the welfare of his fiance and that of his 2 kids.

A realible source told NEWS PLATFORM that she decided to take him to court after she had discovered that he is planning to eject her from his house in order to marry another lady from east.

The matter was mentioned before Hon. Ibrahim Musa Ulenda's led Upper Area Court and subsequently adjourned to the 1st December, 2022.

NEWS PLATFORM who was in court, sighted the man sweating and moving up and down and pleaded thus:" Please, help me and settle us".
