SEN. ABBO SPONSORED THUGS TO KILL ME OVER TAGS, APC OFFICIAL ALLEGES

The Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Adamawa State, Alh. Saidu Naira, has accused Sen. Ishaku Abbo, of threatening to kill him over party's tags.

Naira, made the accusation in an interview with journalists in Yola, alleging that Sen. Abbo, who represents Northern Senatorial District, personally led thugs who attacked him.

According to him, the thugs were armed with guns and other dangerous weapons and attacked him during APC  stakeholders meeting in Mubi North LGA.

He explained that the meeting was attended by the incumbent and former members of the House of representatives.

"Sen. Abbo together with his thugs launched the vicious attack on me using guns and other dangerous weapons while we were conducting stakeholders meeting in Mubi North". He further alleged.

He said that the Senator attacked him for taking the party's tags to the LG for elections as well as their political differences, pointing out that the responsibility of taking such items rests on him as Deputy Chairman of the party.

"I was beaten to pulp, and recieved serious lacerations on many parts of my body and bundled into the booth of a car". He said.

He added he would have been killed if not because of the timely intervention of policemen who engaged the Senator and his thugs in a shootout before he was rescued and vowed to challenge his action through legal means.

But in his reaction, Sen. Ishaku Abbo, through his Media Aide, Micheal Bolgent, vehemently denied the allegations, saying that his Principal could not descend low to attack people because of political differences.

He noted that they have their political differences, but that it will not amount to attacking anybody, adding that Senator is not responsible for the attack and did not sponsor anybody to do so.
