A 22 year old lady, Philomina Chilion, along side her boyfriend and 1 other have been remanded in prison custody over alleged criminal conspiracy, abatement and rape.
The Chief Magistrate Court 3 in Yola, Adamawa state remanded the lady, her boyfriend, Abubakar Umar and Ibrahim Abubakar on their arraignement before it for the offences.
Philomina of Chigari in Fufore Local Government Area and her boyfriend, Abubakar, of Njoboli Fulani, in Yola South LGA, criminally conspired with Ibrahim Abubakar who raped pastor's daughter(names withheld).
Ibrahim Abubakar who also hails from Njoboli Fulani, raped his 20 years old victim during the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) Convention held in Yola town in January 2023.
NEWS PLATFORM gathered that Philomina conspired with her boyfriend whose friend raped pastor's daughter during the convention on the 29th January, 2023.
Philomina was said to have asked her friend to accompany her to collect an item from somebody outside convention ground by 9:00pm, on that fateful day.
Both of them met the 2 youngmen waiting for them in a tricycle outside, and that the youngmen asked them to accompany them to a particular place.
The youngmen conveyed the girls to Njoboli Fulani, about 10 kilometers away from the convention ground in Yola town that very night.
On their arrival in Njoboli Fulani village, Umar held the hand of his girlfriend and left for his room leaving behind pastor's daughter and Ibrahim in the tricycle.
Few minutes later, a young man met pastor's daughter and Ibrahim in the tricycle and demanded that they should get down from the tricycle.
On getting down from the tricycle, Ibrahim used the opportunity and lured his victim into his room and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her twice.
The girls were said to have spent the night in the rooms of the youngmen in the village instead of convention ground with other faithful.
On their arraignment in court, the 3 defendants denied committing the offences as a result of which the court ordered that they should be remanded in prison custody.
The court presided by Chief Magistrate Uwani Garba, adjourned the matter to the 23rd February, 2023, to enable police complete investigation as applied by the prosecutor, Inspector Naomi Hassan.
