KIDNAPPED ADAMAWA JOURNALIST REGAINS FREEDOM 6 DAYS AFTER



Adamawa State based Journalist identified as, Alh. Usman Umar Sahabi has regained his freedom after spending 6 days in kidnappers' den.


Recall that unknown gunmen in the early hours of Thursday last week, abducted Alh. Sahabi, who works with Adamawa Broadcasting Corperation (ABC) Yola.


Alh. Sahabi is the Chief of Staff to the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.


The spokesperson of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje has confirmed the release of the journalist.

ADHA Receives Leader Leneke's Name for Confirmation as Commissioner

Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, received the name of Leader Andrew Leneke, from Demsa LGA, for screening and confirmation as Commissioner. News Platform  Leader Leneke's name was sent to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in a letter addressed to assembly and read at the plenary presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. After presenting the letter at the hallowed chamber, Rt. Hon. Bathiya, directed the Clerk to invite the nominee to appear before the assembly on Wednesday 13th May, 2026 along side his curriculum vitae for screening.
