Adamawa Legislator representing Fufore/Gurin constituency, Hon. Shuaibu Babas, on Monday, dumped the oppsition All Progressives Congress(APC) to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Hon. Babas who won election in 2019 under APC platform, sought second term under the party but was defeated during the primary election which was conducted in May, 2022. NEWS PLATFORM can recall.
The legislator in a letter to the assembly which was read at the resumed plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, said he was constrained to leave APC due to injustice meted to him during the party primary.
Hon. Babas said that his former party failed to conduct free and fair primary election in his constituency, and that he was left with no option than to leave the party and join another political party of his choice.
The Speaker of the assembly however congratulated him for joining the ruling party in the state and urged him to feel at home.
