Adamawa Legislator representing Guyuk constituency at the House of Assembly, Hon. Adwawa Donglock, on Monday, sponsored 2 bills aimed tackling trafficking and kidapping.
One of the bills tagged, "A bill for a law to provide for prohibition of trafficking and kidnapping in the State and other matters incidental thereto".
Another security bill is "a bill for a law to establish the State Neighbourhood Watch Committee to help the Police in protecting lives and property of the citizens".
The bills were sponsored by Hon. Adwawa and co-sponsored by several other Honourable Members with a view to addressing insecurity confronting the society.
Interestingly, the bills were on Monday, placed on notice during the resumed plenary presided by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, and expected to undergo 1st reading and other necessary legislative processes towards passage.
NEWS PLATFORM was informed that if finally passed and assented to by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the laws will make provision for the formation of committees to help police in protecting lives and property.
Likewise, the laws as designed will provide necessay measures on how to prohibit trafficking and kidnapping so as to ensure peace and stability in and around Adamawa communities.
