The Commissioner of Police, CP, Adamawa State, S.K. Akande, has decorated 11 newly promoted senior police officers serving in the state command.
The 11 officers decorated were recently promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
They were promoted by the Police Service Commission (PSC) as recommended by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP. Usman Alkali Baba.
Speaking while decorating the officers at the police officers' mess, CP Akande, tasked the promoted officers to display high level of professionalism while carrying out their lawful duties.
CP Akande, congratulated the promoted officers, noting that higher rank comes with higher responsibilities and challenges, urging other men and officers of the to put in their best so as to be recognised and promoted.
The command also presented award to 6 senior police officers including the spokesman of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, for gallant performance.
Fielding questions from newsmen, the PPRO appreciated the command and promised to do more so as to justify the confidence reposed in him and other officers.
SP Nguroje, said the honour is just the beginning, and that he will strive hard towards promoting the image of the command, and thanked the CP for the honour.
