A 14th and 15th years old "Shila" boys were on Monday, arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly attacking as well as snatching a handset belonging to a woman.
The "Shila" boys apprehended include Suleiman Shuaibu,15 years old and Abdulazeez Sani, 14 years old both of Jambutu in Yola North LGA.
The hoodlums, who were armed with a knife, snatched their victim's property in a broad day light at flyover near Capital School in Yola North LGA on the 9th October, 2023.
Abdulazeez had stole his grand father's knife, known as Mallam Sani, which they used in threatening their victim.
The boys met the woman trekking and threatened her with the knife so as to surrender her bag to them or risk being stabbed.
They had asked their victim what she was carrying in her hand bag, and confiscated it after she had replied to them that she was not carrying anything.
They searched the bag and carried her handset and attempted to escape from the scene of the crime unknown to them that some young men had sighted them while attacking their victim.
Shuaibu and Abdulazeez who were trailed by the young men were apprehended while trying to escape the scene of the crime.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje confirmed the arrest and assured of the readiness of the Command to prosecuting the suspects.
