The resolutions of the Honourable Members followed a motion on the matter of urgent public importance raised by the Member representing Guyuk constituency, Hon. Adwawa Donglock.

The PDP legislator added that the centre will not only bring succour to applicants from Guyuk and environs but engender social integration, encourage unity and coexistence among the diverse communities, create employment, boost economy of the community and  generate revenue for government.

He said that the tertiary institutions have in the past years embarked on the establishment of study centres in some parts of the state, adding that the singular gesture has helped in boosting the educational developement of the benefiting communities, and also eased the burden on students, parents and guardians of cost travelling long distance to acquire knowledge.

He noted that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's administration in the state had introduced free, quality and compulsory education policy at primary and secondary schools in order to uplift standard of education in the state.

Hon. Adwawa explained that the policy seeks to address the disturbing gaps that make the realisation of government objectives in the state very difficult or nearly impossible, and urged his colleagues to rally round the motion to ensure the establishment of the centre in Guyuk.

Speaking on the motion, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak (Verre) described the motion as timely as will address the difficulties being faced by the constituents more especially from going to State Polytechnic Campus in Numan LGA and other places to study or carry out research.
