YOLA COURTS REMAND 100 ENDSARS LOOTERS IN PRISON CUSTODY


Over 100 suspected Endsars Looters have been remanded in prison custody by Yola Magistrate Courts in Adamawa State.


The suspects were apprehended and remanded at Yolde Pate Correctional Facility in connection with recent invasion and looting of government's warehouses and other valuable properties in the State.


NEWS PLATFORM learnt that the suspects remanded were out of 160 suspects nabbed over alleged offences ranging from theft, destruction of public properties, mischief, breaking open receptacle and receiving of stolen property among other offences.


Some of them were remanded over the weekend while others were sent to prison by 5 different Magistrate Courts in Yola on Tuesday where the cases are being prosecuted.


While some of the suspects pleaded guilty to the offences as charged by the prosecution, others pleaded not guilty.


Sources further informed NEWS PLATFORM that the remaining suspects that are being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department(CID), Yola will also be arraigned before the Courts as soon as possible so as to be prosecuted accordingly.
