DEMSA STAKEHOLDERS HOLD MEETING, VOW TO RETURN FINTIRI COME 2023



Stakeholders in Demsa Local Government Area, Adamawa state on Friday, vowed to re-elect Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri come 2023.


Cross section of stakeholders who stated this during stakeholders meeting held at the Government Lodge in Demsa LGA today, promised to re-elect Fintiri for second time.



Speaking during the stakeholders meeting organised in compliance to Fintiri's directives,  the member representing Demsa constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, said that the meeting was in obedience to Fintiri's directives to all stakeholders across the 21 LGAs.


Hon. Kate, told the stakeholders that Fintiri directed them to come down to their LGA and invariably their various wards to form committees that will meet other stakeholders in their wards so as to nominate councillors and supervisory councillors.


She explained that those that will be nominated will be appointed to form a transition committee that will be constituted to oversee LGCs, adding that the meeting was to serve as an avenue to pass Fintiri's information to them. 


She informed them that the Fintiri has promised to embark on the construction of developmental projects including cottage hospital, Dong-Kpasham road and Girei -Gwamba road, saying that the projects have been captured in 2022 budget.


The female legislator appealed to the entire electorate to rally round Fintiri, to enable him continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people at the grasstroots.


In his remarks, the Commissioner Ministry for Entrepreneurship Development, Hon. James Iliya, appreciated the Governor for giving them the opportunity to commence the process of selecting those that will represent them at the LGCs.


On his part, a Stakeholder, Hon. Felix Tangwami, said that the did exactly as instructed by the Governor, and that their people are happy with it, appealing to those vested with the responsibilty to be just and fair while carrying out the exercise.


Hon. Tangwami, added that it is good to leave a legacy of fairness, saying some of them are still reaping the fruits of fairness because they were fair to all manner of people.


He called on the stakeholders to support Fintiri, as according to him, the exercise is a genuine action intended by the Governor, and that it should not be abused.


In his welcome address, the PDP Chairman Demsa LGA, Hon. Gideon, appreciated the stakeholders for organising the meeting.


He said that their major concern at the moment is to work together in order to provide dividends of democracy to the people and how to give Fintiri a bloc vote just like they did in 2019.
