Operatives of Adamawa State command attached to Song division during joint operation with men of State Security Department (DSS) and Local Hunters have killed a suspected kidnapper and rescued 6 victims.
The operatives have recovered an AK-47 rifle with 17 rounds of live ammunitions from the suspects on the 3rd December, 2021.
Likewise, the command's operatives attached to Gombi Division have on the same date apprehended a 32 year old, Mathias Shingu, a resident of Lagos for alleged car snatching.
The command's spokesman, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in a statement made available to NEWS PLATFORM, said that the operatives extended operation to Gwazari Hills, Mulleng in Song LGA; hence, the breakthrough.
DSP Nguroje, said that the operatives killed a kidnapper, rescued 6 kidnapped victims unharmed and recovered one AK-47 rifle after a gun battle, saying that some of the suspects escaped with bullet wounds.
He explained that Mathias, a notorious car snatcher who specialises in snuggling stolen vehicles from Nigeria to Cameroon Republic, was apprehended while on his way from Lagos to Cameroon Republic to dispose a stolen Nissan Vehicle he stole.
