A 46 years old man identified as Kushu Shall, has been remanded in prison custody for defiling 10-year old girl (names withheld).
The Chief Magistrate Court 1 Yola, Adamawa State issued the remand order after the defendant was arraigned before it.
The defendant, Kushu was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Mohammed Njidda, led court on the offence of defilement of which he pleaded guilty.
Kushu of Kala'a community in Hong LGA, Adamawa state lured his victim to nearby bush and forcefully had canal knowledge of her contrary to section 211 of the penal code.
He was arraigned before the court by the prosecuting police officer, ASP Zakka Musa, on behalf of the Adamawa State Police Command.
Aftet the case was called, the prosecutor applied that the matter be adjourned to enable prosecution transmit case diary to DPP for legal advice.
Ruling, Chief Magistrate Njidda granted the application and adjourned the case to 5th December, 2024, and ordered the remand of the defendant till then.
