As part of his commitment towards improving health of constituents, the Senator representing Adamawa central Senatorial District, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, is set to embark on a 6-day free Medical Outreach.
The Phase I Medical Outreach is Scheduled to be held at Gombi, Girei and Fufore cottage hospitals from Wednesday 13th of November – Wednesday 20th of November, 2024, for Constituents of Gombi, Girei and Fufore Local Government Areas.
According to him, the event will take place at cottage hospital in Gombi on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th, Girei cottage hospital on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th and Fufore cottage hospital on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th November, 2024 as focal point of the medical outreach respectively.
The Second phase which will be announced at a later date, will be carried out in Hong, Song, Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas.
The lawmaker noted that, the outreach program will focus not only on treatment but also on preventive measures and early interventions. Regular check-ups, health screenings and education on healthy practices that can help to prevent diseases as well as to detect potential health issues early on.
The program will feature free surgeries on Hernia Appendicitis,Lipoma,Hydrocele, Goitre, Fibroids,varian cysts,Breast lumps, Eye tests and many other surgeries
Iya Abbas said he was collaborating with relevant institutions in the healthcare sector to host the free medical outreach for the local government area in his constituency.
