MAIZE THIEF STABS WOMAN TO DEATH IN ADAMAWA



Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a 20 years old suspected thief, Abubakar Abudu for stabbing 30 years old house wife to death.

 

A statement by the image maker of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Monday, explained that the accused was arrested on the 10th November, 2024.


He said that the suspect who hails from Gengle village in Mayo Belwa LGA, stabbed his victim identified as Azumi Abubakar, to death.


He said, "The suspect had on 7th November, 2024 at about 0300hrs broke into the house of the victim and stole some quantity of maize. In an attempt to escape, the victim identified and called his name. 


"Upon realizing that he was sighted and identified, he immediately attacked the victim by stabbing her with a knife as a result of which she died," SP Nguroje added.


He said that arrest followed a complaint from the victim's husband, assuring that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
