Man Kills 5 Yrs Old Boy, Buries Corpse in Shallow Grave in Adamawa



The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 29 years old man, Isiaka Hassan, for allegedly killing 5 years old boy identified as Abba Bashiru.


The suspect allegedly murdered the minor and buried the corpse in a shallow grave in Tingno, Lamurde LGA Adamawa State.


This is contained in release by the the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje.


SP Nguroje said that that the command had on the 30th August l, 2025, rceived a report from Hadiza Bashiru of Tingno, Lamurde LGA, that her 5-year-old son, Abba Bashiru, got missing and was later sighted with one Isiaka Hassan.


He said after receiving the report, the command's operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer, Tingno, swiftly led an operation and arrested the accused.


According to him, during interrogation, the suspect confessed to have conspired with one yet to be arrested and killed the boy and buried him in a shallow grave. 


"The corpse was exhumed and taken to Hospital for autopsy. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has directed the State CID to take over the case and ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspect.


The Command reassured the public of its commitment to ensure justice is served and appealed for cooperation in the fight against violent crime across the State.
