Sen Amos Yohanna Donates Relief Materials to Victims of Yola Flooding




The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Amos K. Yohanna, has donated assorted relief materials to the victims of flooding in Yola South LGA.


The relief materials including bags of rice and mats were donated so as alleviate the suffering of the people affected by recent flooding in some parts of Yola South LGA.


Speaking while donating the items to the victims in Yola South LGA, on Friday, Senator Amos said that he had provided the items to be distributed to those affected.


Senator Amos told the victims that the gesture is part of his effort towards identifying with them and urged the committee saddled with the responsibility of the distribution to be fair and just to everyone in the course of distribution.


The Senator who was represented by his Director Campaign Organisation, Hon.Hassan Ahmed, appealed to the victims to take it as act of God and once more commiserated with the victims as well as the Adamawa State Government.


Responding, a Member of the Distribution Committee Mrs Hanatu N. Vandi, commended the Senator for providing the relief materials for distribution to the victims, saying that the beneficiaries really appreciate the Senator.


Mrs. Hanatu assured that they will do justice in the distribution of the items and prayed God to continue to protect the Senator and reward him in many folds.


Likewise, a Yahaya Yakubu Umar, appreciated the gesture, saying that the food support will go along way in ameliorating the suffering being faced by the victims.


Baring his mind, the Representative of the Youth, Marwan Bello hailed the effort, saying that no amount of relief materials will be enough for everyone.


Marwan lauded the Senator for supplying the items and prayed God to continue to grant him wisdom so as to provide effective representation.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
