Member representing Mubi North constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Shuaibu Dan Musa on Saturday distributed assorted empowerment items to hundreds of his electorate.
Some of the items distributed by the Member include; 70 sewing machines, 70 grinding machines, 150 generators, 150 clippers, 30 wheelchairs and tools for carpentry.
Aside the items, the legislator was said to have distributed 7 brand new cars to his electorate as part of effort towards making the become self reliant.
Speaking while distributing the items to the beneficiaries in Mubi today, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, said that the gesture is the outcome of good representation.
Rt. Hon. Iya Abbas stated that the legislator has demonstrated that he is just considering what he has done for his people, and urged him to continue to do more for his electorate.
The Speaker who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo (Numan), thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for approving the release of #40million for execution of constituency projects by the members.
He explained that the 2020 constituency project funds were not given to the legislators in cash, but that every member was asked to forward the developmental projects of his choice for execution, hence the procurement of the items.
According to him, the Member has been supporting the government of the day, and that the house is solidly behind the member, calling on his electorate to rally round him to enable them benefit more.
Speaking at the event, the Member representing Mubi North constituency, Hon. Shuaibu Dan Musa, appreciated his electorate for their support, and promised not to relent in doing good for his people.
Hon. Dan Musa assured them of his commitment to reaching out to them with such empowerment items from time to time, and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items.
In his goodwill message, the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mohammed Mayas applauded Mubi electorate for their support to the opposition party, saying that the concern of APC is governance in the state and nothing else.
Mayas told the gathering that they will continue to kick against policies and programmes that are not in the interest of the state, and called on the electorate to continue to support APC.
The Secretary said that their party is happy with what the members elected under its platform are doing at the House of Assembly, saying that the party is solidly behind them.
Baring his mind, the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu represented by Madawaki Mubi, Alhaji Mahmud Wambai, applauded the representation of the Member, saying that the items will go along way in reducing poverty in the society.
Also in his message, the Director General Dan Musa Campaign Organisation, Paul Simon Victim, said that the Member is doing what is expected of him, and urged him to continue in providing dividends of democracy to his people.
In his welcome address, the Chairman All Progressives Congress(APC) Mubi North Local Government Area, Alhaji Usman Durmin Gude, commended the member for providing dividends to his electorate.
Alhaji Usman urged on other Honourable Members to borrow a leaf from their Member as he has been doing what he has been voted to do, and pledged to continue to rally round him to enable him succeed.
