Yola Chief Magistrate Court II in Adamawa state on Thursday convicted and sentenced a 28 year old labourer to 3 imprisonment for stealing 6 pieces of pipes belonging to his friend.
The convict, Alex Nnano of Bauchi street in Jimeta Yola was said to have entered the house of his friend and a plumber, Levi Obadiah along Army Barracks in the night and stole 6 pieces pipes.
He was later arrested with the pipes by the Nigeria Police Karewa Division and arraigned before the Magistrate Court in connection with the offence.
When the content of First Information Report was read and interpreted to the young man, he admitted committing the crime.
In its ruling on the matter, the court presided over by Magistrate Japhet Ibrahim Basani, convicted and sentenced him to 3 years imprisonment with option of #50,000 fine.
