Seven persons were confirmed dead on Sunday evening in a ghastly motor accident along Jabbi-lamba Mallam Madugu road in Song local government area of Adamawa state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Adamawa State Police Command, DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje confirmed the incident in a phone interview with Sahel Reporters.
Nguroje said the accident occurred when a Toyota Corolla Starlet collided with a Toyota Sienna Bus around 4:00pm on Sunday.
He added that all the 6 passengers from the starlet died on the spot including the driver, while the driver of the Sienna bus who is alone sustained serious injury and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje, said the Adamawa State Police Commissioner (CP) Aliyu Adamu Alhaji has ordered the immediate investigation on the cause of the the accident.
He called on motorist to be extra vigilant and adhere strictly to the traffic rules and regulations to avoid such incidence.
