NUMAN IGBO COMMUNITY CROWNS ADHA DPS WITH CHIEFTAINCY TITLE



Igbo Community Association Numan (ICAN), Adamawa State has coronated the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, with a chieftaincy title.


The community crowned Hon. Mackondo, with chieftaincy title as"Nwannedinamba Ndigbo Numan" in recognition of his meritorious service to Igbo community in the LGA.


According to the association, the legislator was nominated by the Igwe-In-Council and confirmed by the ICAN representatives in Numan LGA. 


Coronating the Deputy Speaker in Numan on Sunday, Igwe Jonas I. Nwankwo, congratulated him for the honour done to him, assuring him that he will succeed wherever he goes.


In his remarks, the special guest of honour and the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, extended the assembly's appreciation to Igwe and his council for their decision to crown one of them. 


He told the gathering that the honour signifies that there is peaceful coexistence among communities in the LGA, and urged them to continue to be united and live in peace as nothing meaningful will be achieved in a chaotic atmosphere.


Speaking earlier, the President General ICAN Numan, Chief Sunday Patrick, congratulated Hon. Mackondo, and thanked the leadership of the assembly and any other person who added colour to the historic event.
