The newly deployed judge of the court, Hon. Nuhu Musa Garta, issued the order after the defendants were arraigned before the court.
The defendants were dragged before Hon. Garta, by one, Nasiru Adamu, handset repairer who alleged that Zaradeen had assaulted him without any provocation.
It all began with Umaima, who met Nasiru at the Shopping Complex in Yola where she gave him her handset for repairing.
NEWS PLATFORM learnt that Nasiru, agreed and decided to give her his own handset for her to insert her sim cards and manage it pending the time he finishes repairing her own.
After fixing the phone, Nasiru, volunteered to take the handset to the lady's house, so that he will use the opportunity and collect his own.
Nasiru who drove in his car to their residence, was received at the gate by the girl and started chatting, unknown to them that the opposion APC Youth Leader was somewhere very close monitoring them.
The Leader honourably and respectfully met them where he asked Nasiru to wind down the glass of his vehicle after which he pounced on him and started beating him and subsequently punctured the tires of his car.
He warned Nasiru not to ever come close to the lady because he had already engaged her formally and now about to fix a date for their wedding.
But the lady who was provoked by the action of her boy friend, decided to fight for Nasiru where she gave the Youth Leader a dirty slap and warned him to stop forthwith from embracing her before men.
When arraigned in court on Wednesday, Zaradeen admitted beating Nasiru, where he told the court that he had already introduced himself before her parents.
To the surprise of the court, the mother of the lady, stormed the court and pleaded with Hon. Garta, and former judge of Criminal Area Court 2 in Yola, to ensure the remand of the lady in prison custody.
She told the court that she had warned her daughter not to entertain any man apart Zaradeen, because he had already engaged her, but to no avail, and prayed the court to take her to prison straight away.
It took the intervention Yerima Katuka, PDP Councillor representing Makama A, ward, Yola South LGA, who pleaded with the court to admit the defendants to bail.
Hon. Garta, graciously admitted them to bail on condition that they should maintain peace, law and order pending the determination of the matter, and subsequently adjourned the case to Friday 12th November, 2021.
