Dahiru, who resides in Yola South Local Government Area, threatened female official of the Ministry of Land and Survey, Adamawa State, Adama Mamman.
He was arraigned before Hon. Uba Ibn Aliyu led Area court on the 9th June, 2023 by the Police Command, over alleged offence contrary to section 384 of the penal code law.
While arraigning the defendant, Inspector Danjuma alleged that the 50 years old defendant stormed the woman's office and threatened to deal with her.
The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence. He was admitted to bail and the matter adjourned to the 19th June, 2023 for hearing.
At the resumed sitting, counsel to the defendant, A. A. Tahir, said they were not ready to proceed with the case for failure of the prosecution to comply with the requirement of the law.

He urged the court to direct the prosecution to comply the rules of the court before the commencement of hearing, and asked the court to adjourn the matter.
Responding, the prosecutor, Inspector Danjuma Hamidu, said that the defendant was arraigned on FIR where he pleaded not guilty as a result of which the matter was adjourned for hearing.
He objected to the application and asked the court to proceed and call his witnesses whom he had assembled to testify in court.
