Fintiri Signs into Law Bill Creating 83 New Districts



Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa State has signed into law a bill repealing and enacting new districts in the state.


The bill was passed by the Adamawa State House of Assembly which saw to the creation of additional 83 new districts.


Assenting on the bill at a ceremony held in his office at the Government House in Yola, Governor Fintiri, said that the creation of additional districts will drastically reduce crime and criminality in the state. 


He disclosed that the salaries of the district heads and their staff will henceforth be paid by the LGCs and that it will be reviewed periodically to reflect current economic realities.
