ADHA Speaker Congratulates NUJ for Peaceful Conduct of Election

 


The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley has congratulated the new leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ Adamawa state council under Comr. Abdullahi Ibrahim. 


The Speaker in a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Hyellamada Bernard commended the peaceful conduct of the election by its members on Wednesday 18th June 2025 at NUJ press center. 


The Speaker noted that, professional body like the NUJ should always live by example as watch dog of the society. 


Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley use the medium to call on Abdullahi Ibrahim led council to embrace peace and unity among it's members devoid of any sentiments. 


He challenged  the chairman and his council members to ensure unity among the members of the Union to aid room for development. 


The Speaker also advised the NUJ Chairman to extend hand of fellowship to those he contested with to come and join him in moving the Union forward.


While wishing the council peaceful and impactful tenure,the Speaker equally called on all members of Adamawa NUJ to support the new leadership for progress and Development of the union.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
