ADHA Speaker Felicitates with Citizens on Democracy Day
The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wesley Bathiya, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on the occasion of the 26th Democracy Day celebration.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Hellamada Bernard, the Speaker expressed joy and solidarity with the people of Adamawa State and Nigeria at large as the nation marks yet another year of uninterrupted democratic governance.
Rt. Hon. Bathiya noted that since the return to democracy in 1999, Nigeria and Adamawa State in particular has experienced significant transformation. He commended the leadership of Governor Fintiri and the current administration for their continued efforts in sustaining democratic values and driving development across the state.
He described this year’s Democracy Day as a time for reflection and appreciation of the democratic journey so far, acknowledging the sacrifices and dedication of past and present leaders who have governed with dignity, honor, and a deep sense of responsibility.
The Speaker further emphasized the pivotal role played by the current Assembly in supporting people-oriented policies and promoting good governance under Governor Fintiri’s visionary leadership.
Rt. Hon. Wesley Bathiya reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to deepening democracy and ensuring that the people of Adamawa State continue to benefit from purposeful representation and sustainable development.
