Eid El-Kabir: Fintiri Harps on Sacrifice, Unity, Prayer for Peace
The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has called on the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the noble virtues of personal sacrifice and obedience as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Gov Fintiri in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, felicitated with Muslim faithful for witnessing another season, urging them to use the occasion for sober reflection and spiritual renewal.
He said, “Eid El-Kabir is not just a time of festivity, but an opportunity to recommit ourselves to the values of sacrifice, honesty, dedication, and peace as we march towards a common destiny.”
He reminded citizens of the importance of being one another’s keeper, stressing that peaceful co-existence remains the bedrock for unity and development in Adamawa State and the nation at large.
Governor Fintiri, also appealed for increased prayers for the peace, security, and progress of Nigeria, noting that the country needs the collective commitment of its people in this critical time.
While extending his best wishes to pilgrims from Adamawa State currently performing the Hajj, the Governor prayed for a successful Arafat and journey mercies back home.
He concluded by praying for God’s continued protection over the lives of all citizens and the grace to witness many more Sallah celebrations in peace and prosperity.
