Adamawa Police Arrest 29 Yrs Old Man for Armed Robbery
The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 29 years old man identified as Zaphaniya Alfred for armed robbery at Zangun in Numan LGA.
The operatives of command recovered 1 locally made pistol, 2 AK-47 live ammunition, 1 pistol live ammunition, 1 live cartridge.
Others items recovered from the Accused include pair of military camouflage, uniform, 4 military camouflage caps, 2 military camouflage T-shirt, black torch light.
A release by the PPRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the arrest followed a formal complaint made by one Ibrahim Maikano whom the the suspect had threatened to kill him.
"On the strength of that Operatives of the command attached to Numan Divisional police headquarters, led by the DPO apprehended the suspect Zephaniah Alfred, 29years, who was on the wanted list of the command for Armed Robbery activities, terrorizing Numan-Gombe Road and its environs.
"A search warrant was executed at the residence of the suspect resulting to the recovery of the following items", SP Nguroje explained.
According to him, he suspect is currently in custody and aiding investigation and that he will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
He said "The Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, while working in synergy with the Brigade commander 23 Military brigade, Yola, to unravel the activity that makes the complainant and the good people of Zangun worry, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state".
