Senator representating Adamawa Central Senatorial District Senator, Aminu Iya Abbas has congratulated the member representating Yola North, Yola South and Girei federal constituency, Hon. Salihu Muhammad (Abba Girei) on his victory and the Election Petition Tribunal.
Sen. Abbas in a statement through his media office in Yola, on Monday, said that the jubilation that erupted in the state capital after the judgement showed that Abba Girei's mandate came from the people.
Sen. Abbas who is the (Iya Adamawa) said Abba Girei's victory is victory for democracy and affirmation of the expressed will of the people of Yola North, Yola South and Girei federal constituency in their quest for purposeful representation and good governance.
“The jubilation in Yola the State capital of Adamawa State is a testament of the fact that Abba Girei’s election is not only a reflection of the aspiration of the majority of the people but also that of many of lovers of democracy across the constituency.
“Moreover, since his inauguration in June this year, Abba Girei has continued to demonstrate uncommon capacity for purposeful representation in line with the yearnings and aspiration of the electorate.
“The Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone Senator congratulates Abba Girei and urges him to continue giving the people the quality representation.
