The Deputy Speaker as well as 2 other Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, asked the Election Petitions Tribunal to dismiss petitions filed against them.
The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Muhammed Buba Jijiwa, who represents Jada/Mbulo constituency, Hon. Japhet Kefas(Gombi) and Hon. Paul Samuel(Mubi North), told the tribunal that the petitions instituted against them have no merit and should be dismissed.
On their part, the petitioners, Hon. Bashir Usman (Jada/Mbulo), Hon. Umar Rufai (Gombi) and Hon. Ishaku Yusuf aka Dangote(Mubi North), urged the tribunal to allow their petitions and grant all their relifs.
The Chairman of the three-man panel, Justice Aloysius O. Okuma, reserved the judgment for a later day to be communicated to parties after the petitioners and respondents had adopted their final written addresses.

Hon. Bashir Usman of APC sued, INEC, Hon. Jijiwa and PDP, while the former member of the assembly, Hon. Umar Rufai and APC dragged Hon. Japhet Kefas, PDP and INEC before the tribunal, challenging their victory.
The PDP Candidate for Mubi North constituency in the just concluded election, Hon. Ishaku Yusuf dragged INEC, Hon. Paul Samuel and APC before tribunal, challenging the election the APC Legislator.
