Sen Iya Abbas Donates Relief Materials, Cash to Flood, Windstorm Victims in 5 LGAs

The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas has donated multi million naira relief materials to victims of flood disaster as well as windstorm in his constituency.

The relief materials which include food and non food items as well as cash were donated to the victims of recent flooding in Fufore, Song, Gombi, and Hong and those affected by windstorm in Kwanan Waya, Yola South LGA.

Presenting the relief materials at the affected areas across the LGAs, Sen Iya Abbas, said that his concern is to alleviate the hardships faced by communities grappling with natural disasters in his constituency. 

Senator Iya Abbas who was represented by the Members of AIA 2023 Senatorial Campaign Steering Committee Alh. Adamu Baba Mustafa and Dr. Adamu Babikkoi respectively, sympathised with the victims and reaffirmed his commitment towards providing basic needs to his electorate.

Responding, the representatives and community leaders of the affected areas visited by the Senator's delegation expressed gratitude for his timely intervention, describing him as a representative who has the interest of his people at heart.

According to them, the gesture reinforces Senator Aminu Iya Abbas' profile as a responsive leader who is dedicated to supporting communities in his Constituency.

It could be recalled that, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, previously donated relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of flooding and insurgency in Hong, Yola South and other affected areas which demostrated his commitment to his people. 

Items donated includes over 1,200 bags of rice and maize, mats, blankets and about 10million cash to be shared among the 5 affected LGAs in his Constituency.
