Adamawa Assembly to Establish State Roads Fund to Finance Devt, Others



Adamawa State House of Assembly has commenced legislation on a bill for a law to establish state roads fund for the purpose of financing development, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads. News Platform 


The bill is tagged, a bill for a Law to establish the Adamawa State Roads Fund for the purpose of financing the development, rehabilitation and maintenance of state and rural roads".


The bill is sponsored by the Majority Leader and Member representing Demsa constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno.


Already, the assembly presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, on Wednesday, committed the bill to the Committee on Works, Energy, Land and Survey and given 2 weeks within which to submit its report.


Rt. Hon. Bathiya referred the bill to the Committee after 1st and 2nd reading following separate motions by the sponsor of the bill, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
