Sen Iya Abbas to Serve as Panelist at Prof Uche Capital Market Colloquium



Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas has been invited to serve as a panelist at the 3rd Professor Uche Uwaleke Capital Market Colloquium.


The colloquium is scheduled to take place on February 23rd, 2026, at the Yar'adua Center in Abuja.


The colloquium's theme is "Future Proofing Africa-wide Economic Integration: Infrastructure, Innovation and Capital Markets"


This event will bring together experts like Senator Aminu Iya Abbas to discuss strategies for enhancing Africa's economic integration, focusing on infrastructure development, innovation, and capital market growth. 


As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Innovation, Science and Technology, Senator Abbas is expected to share insights on leveraging technology and innovation to drive economic progress in the country. 


The colloquium will likely explore ways to address Africa's infrastructure gaps, promote innovation, and strengthen capital markets to achieve sustainable economic growth and integration.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
