ADHA D-Speaker Distributes 11 Cars, 20 Motorcycles, Others to Constituents
The Deputy Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Buba Jidjiwa, on Monday, distributed assorted empowerment items to cross section of his constituents.
Hon. Jidjiwa distributed 11 Toyota Yaris, 20 Motorcycles, 15 Sewing Machines and 16 Granding Machines to his electorate cut across 6 political wards of Jada-Mbulo constituency.
The lawmaker also renovated 5 blocks of classrooms and offices across primary schools, constructed multi purpose hall at Gangwaso primary school, constructed primary health care centre at Njarendi Gada.
He constructed 5 culverts/mini bridge at strategic locations across the wards to improve rural access roads, prevent soil erosion, and facilitate the smooth movement of goods and services especially during the rainy season.
The legislator had drilled boreholes across all the wards in Jada Mbulo including Danaba, Nyibango, Mbulo, Mayo Kalayi, Jada 1 and Jada 2 respectively to ensure access to potable water.
The empowerment items were distributed to the beneficiaries at an event held at Government Lodge Jada. It attracted several dignitaries including the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, other members of the assembly, PDP state exco, traditional rulers and several others.
Speaking at the event, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley Congratulated the lawmaker for the laudable achievements, saying that the member has demostrated a responsive representation.
Rt. Hon. Bathiya applauded him for his commitment to improving the standard of living of youth and women folk in his Constituency, saying that the assembly is proud of the Deputy Speaker as his effort aligns with the collective vision of the assembly.
He used the opportunity and appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for providing enabling environment for effective representation to their constituents, explaining that the synergy between the executive and legislature arms remains critical.
He appealed to the people of Jada Mbulo to continue to support the legislator and Governor Fintiri led administration, stating that the remarkable achievements recorded by the Deputy Speaker will inspire others to embark on such developmental projects.
He said they recognize that true development must also empower individuals economically, saying that the achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering support and visionary leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umar Fintiri.
He disclosed that Fintiri's commitment to inclusive development and support to members of the House of Assembly has made it possible to them to deliver meaningful projects to their people.
Hon. Mohammed Buba Jidjiwa, appreciated his electorate for their support to him and promised to continue to provide good representation to his teeming constituents.
In his remarks, the PDP Chairman Adamawa State, Alh. Hamza Bello Madagali, said that the member has done the party proud with his stewardship.
Alhaji, Hamza who was represented by his Deputy, Eng. Belmond Dogo, urged the beneficiaries to use the items and impact in the lives of others.
He appealed to them not to sell the items distributed to them instead use it for the progress of their families and also called on the electorate to support him to enable him continue to provide dividends of democracy.
In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman Jada LGC, Hon. Salihu Mohammed So'o, commended the member for empowering his electorate.
Hon. Salihu So'o who was represented by his Vice, Hon. Hanatu Jared, told the gathering that the member recently empowered his people and that he has deemed it necessary to embark on another empower scheme.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Alh. Babakano Jada, applauded the lawmaker for the giant strides, and thanked everybody for attending the event.
Several beneficiaries who spoke a the event, appreciated the member for distributing the items to them and promised to make use of it to become self reliant.
