ADHA APC Lawmaker Hails Tinubu's Visit, Rates Fintiri High in Devt



The Member representing Guyuk Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sunday Peter, has applauded President Bola Tinubu, for visiting and commissioning key projects executed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. News Platform 


Rt. Hon. Sunday Peter, who is the Chairman House Committee on Special Duties and Legislative Compliance of the assembly, equally commended Fintiri for the remarkable achievements he had recorded in critical sectors in the state.


The All Progressives Congress(APC) Lawmaker, who made the commendation in Yola, Adamawa State Capital on Tuesday, said President Tinubu's visit clearly demonstrated how governance should be and how leaders supposed to relate.

 

He described the visit as historic considering the fact it was his first official visit to the state since his assumption of office, saying as APC legislator, he was very happy with what he did yesterday.


He said that he was impressed with the quality of leadership exhibited by the President for coming to Adamawa State to assess the performance and commission capital projects executed by Governor Fintiri.


He said," As APC Member, I am very happy with what Mr. President did yesterday by coming down to Adamawa State to commission some key projects which directly affect the lives of the people"


According to him, the speech of Mr. President has shown that he was impressed with the performance of Fintiri, and attributed his performance to a collective effort between the legislature and the executive arms respectively. 


He stated that even before the coming of President Tinubu, Governor has been going round the LGAs to commission projects, saying that they are satisfied with his kind of leadership.


He pointed out that he was happy that the President commissioned model schools constructed across all the LGAs, roads, under-bridge, judiciary complex, newly constructed Governor's Office, ground breaking ceremony of Bola Tinubu Orientation Camp.


He said that Fintiri has been able to execute developmental projects and still pay salaries as well as implement PAWECA programmes, saying his effort is commendable.


On the Fintiri's anticipated defection to the opposition APC, Rt. Hon. Sunday Peter, said that as a leader, he doesn't want to talk about rumors, insisting that he is not going to say anything about it now.


He pointed out that political party is a platform used in contesting elections, and that if Governor Fintiri feels that this a right time to join APC, they will comment about it.


He said they have been having a cordial working relationship with the Governor from the beginning of the 8th assembly up to date, and that one cannot go to all their constituencies without feeling the presence of Fintiri led administration.
