ADHA ELECTORAL C'TTE LAUDS FINTIRI, SIEC FOR CONDUCTING FREE, FAIR LG POLLS



The Deputy Chief Whip Adamawa state House of Assembly Hon. Adwawa Donglock has described the local government election conducted in Guyuk as free, fair and one of the most credible in the state.


The lawmaker who is chairman house committee on public petition, public service and Electoral Matters stated this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the just concluded local government council election in Guyuk local government area and the state in general.


Hon. Donglock who is also the member representing Guyuk constituency in the state legislature said the process for the conduct of the exercise by the officials from the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) is commendable.


He specifically commended the opposition party for conceding defeat, and ready to work as team for both human and infrastructural development of Guyuk LGA, Adamawa and Nigeria at large.


He also appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for conducting two (2) elections in less than three years, granting Autonomy of LG, Prompt payments of LG Salaries, Supporting State Development Area's, Providing developmental Projects across the 21 LG's


He also saluted Governor Fintiri for maintaining peace and unity among the diverse ethnic and religious groups across the State.


Hon. Donglock also appeal to his Constituents to continue with their support to the Fresh Air administration of Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for better and greater Adamawa State.


He also extends his sincere appreciation to the members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Guyuk who trooped out en-mass to participate in Saturday Local Government Election and called on them to to continue exhibiting maturity in all election activities.


In his address the transition committee chairman of the Guyuk local government Mr Solomon Abafras who is the flag bearer of the PDP described the exercise as smooth and peaceful also commended the people of Guyuk and other stakeholders for their cooporation to the officials.
