MOTHER, SON SHOT DEAD BY HUNTERS OVER WITCHCRAFT ALLEGATION




Two gun wielding Local Hunters allegedly shot and killed a mother and her son accused of witchcraft in Madagali Local Governmernt Area, Adamawa State.


The victims simply identified as Uzarai Musa and Kladang Musa of Bitikaya in Madagali LGA were accused of being witches terrorising the inhabitants of their community.


It was as a result of the allegation of practicing witchcraft that the local security men, Hassan Solomon, 26 and Uleri Shaba, 28, of Gulak opened fire on their victims which led to their untimely death.


The affected hunters claimed that the Deceased had killed 2 of their relations and were responsible for other mysterious deaths and happenings in their community.


NEWS PLATFORM learnt that late Uzarai was shot on the stomarch by the hunters, while her son was shot by the neck at their residence on Sunday 5th June, 2022 by 4:20pm.


Speaking to NEWS PLATFORM while being paraded at the police headquaters, the suspects said that they decided to rid the community of these evil people by killing them. 


Fielding questions, the OC Crack Squad, of the Police Command, CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, disclosed that operatives of the apprehended 15 suspects and are currently being investigated.


CSP Ahmed alleged that the suspects committed various offences ranging from culpable homicide, kidnapping, rape and criminal trespass among others.
