ALLEGED VOTES BUYING: BINANI ABSENT IN COURT AS JUDGE ORDERS SUBSTITUTED SERVICE

Federal High Court 1 sitting in Yola, Adamawa State, on Monday,  ordered substituted service on the APC Governorship Candidate, Aishatu Binani, as result of her absence in court .

The presiding Judge, Hon. Justice A. M. Anka, ordered that Binani, be served by substituted means by pasting the Court's process on her residential addresss and the notice board of the Court.

The order followed a ex-parte application filed on Monday, the 20th June, 2022 by I. M. Dikko, Counsel to the Plaintiff, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, who is challenging the victory of Binani, at the just concluded primary election.

Nuhu Ribadu, an Aspirant during the exercise dragged APC, Binani and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alleging over voting and votes buying during the exercise.

NEWS PLATFORM learnt that the Bailiffs of the Court tried to serve the Respondent with the process but could not have access to her; hence, the ex-parte application.

During the sitting, Dikko, informed the Court that the Bailiffs tried to serve the 2nd Respondent but to no avail, and prayed it to grant their application.

Fielding questions from NEWS PLATFORM, Counsel to Nuhu Ribadu and erstwhile EFCC Boss, I. M. Dikko, said that his Client is alleging irregularities, explaining that his Client is asking the Court to nullify the primary.

Justice Anka, accordingly adjourned the matter to the 29th June, 2022, for hearing on the motion on notice after granting the application.
